Al Rams -The History
1976-1998
In 1976, Al Rams started its operations as an electronics trading company and expanded its operations to multiple retail store network in 1982. It’s distribution activities commenced in 1988, with the appointment as exclusive distributor for Sony products. In the 90’s Al Rams began providing service facilities and within 6 years expanded its facilities over the whole of the territory. During 1998, Al Rams initiated distribution in Multi brands, which culminated in catering to 1600 dealers all over the assigned territory.
1998- 2010
GSM products were added to its distribution network in 2001 with the brands – Nokia and Sony Ericsson. Shortly after, Service Center facilities were introduced in 2002 for GSM and expanded all over the territory in 2003. Thuraya appointed Al Rams as its ISP for Satellite phones in 2005. In the same year, Toshiba and Philips appointed Al Rams as their authorized service provider. A year later in 2006 Al Rams group was awarded selling rights from Canon. In the same year, it was selected as the authorized after sales service provider for Sony Ericsson.
During 2006, Al Rams Service Centers received the Following Certifications from the ISO.

In 2007 it be came Canon’s authorized Service Provider. In 2009 Haier appointed Al Rams as its authorized distributor and service provider.
